About Our ‘Values’ Festival
Our inaugural ‘Values’ Festival at AVG is a culmination and a beginning.
A culminating event in the spirit of offering at our beloved Arsha Vidya Gurukulam with fun Values based games, game design challenges, hosted by our youth and adults. These 'Values' are from the jewels embedded in the Bhagavad Gita, as Lord Krishna teaches Arjuna the glory of a Dharmic life. The games have been developed over the last 7 years, inspired by teachings at AVG by our Acharyas.
It is a beginning in the spirit of co-creation with our AVG community, to define what the future could look like. A future defined by collaboration that brings all involved closer, in understanding the spirit of Seva.

About YICG Games for Seva
YICG Games for Seva was launched seven years ago, a not-for-profit endeavor to create and publish indie board & deck games focusing on the Arts, Literature and Philosophy of India. This was the result of developed expertise in building innovative tools for teaching Vedic Heritage over 30 years. Youth & Adults are involved in all aspect of design, prototyping, marketing and branding. The ability to retain a complex web of values, symbology, stories, and contemporary issues while furthering one’s role and purpose in society has been the broad vision at play.
The very first series of games were based on Values from the Bhagavad Gita. The flagship ‘Wisdom Without Borders~Values Series’, a toolkit of games, was launched in 2017. The published games can be viewed at our shop or on the print portal. The games belong in every home, bal vihar and temple, bringing joy and camaraderie to all.
The modern era requires a much deeper effort to Communicate, Collaborate and Create with youth. This in turn leads to a stronger personal expression and confidence. The timeless wisdom of our heritage can be a source of inner growth, build core skills for living & working in this era and contribute to the community.
The youth and adults involved in game design and development are imbued with the spirit of Seva as they see a higher purpose in what they are doing. This spirit is priceless, enabling them to see the value of leading a life of contribution to society.
Our youth & adults are all members of the Gita Vicara Leadership Program (GVLP), which is a unique blend of Seva, Heritage Wisdom, Design Thinking, Games Creation and Leadership. This is accomplished through many innovative activities including workshops, retreats, outreach into the community, purpose-based trips and personal challenges.
